About us

The Robotics Perception (ROP) Group belongs to the Robotics Machine Perception (RMP) Department, one of the six departments, of the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics (CIIRC) at the Czech Technical University in Prague.

ROP Group deals with machine perception, namely computer vision, tactile perception for robotic manipulation, perception from other sensory modalities, and cognitive approach to human-robot interaction.

Seminars

Tue, Feb 18, 2025 (13:00 JP:B-633) Karla Štěpánová: Single-Grasp Deformable Object Discrimination: The Effect of Gripper Morphology, Sensing Modalities, and Action Parameters. An IEEE Transactions on Robotics, 2024 (link).

Reading Group

Tue, Feb 04, 2025 (13:00 JP:B-633) Zhengyou Zhang: A flexible new technique for camera calibration. In Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on, 22(11):1330–1334, 2000. As many robotic tasks employ camera calibration algorithm from OpenCV built upon the PAMI 2000 paper by Zhengyou Zhang, we would like to discuss the method in detail, together with edge cases and other implications. A detailed description can also be found in the technical report of the author. The paper will be presented by Pavel Krsek. (link) (report)
